slow dance between the trees

Embroidering on a large work means one thing above all: not doing much else. On the one hand, this complete immersion in the work is very beautiful and fulfilling. On the other hand, it leaves little room for what I like to do best; trying out new techniques, natural dyeing, painting, crafting.

I am happy with this 90 x 120 embroidered picture, but I am also happy to be learning new things again, to have some freedom in the studio.
